Groin Wound

Groin wound showing catheter entry wounds, three small and one big

You can one big and three little puncture wounds in a row. The three marks in a row were for the original 2 mm electrophysiology study catheters. The bigger one was for the 3 mm ablation catheter.

These catheters were inserted into my femoral vein, which is as big around as my thumb, so there was plenty of room. Nevertheless, they regularly checked the pulse in my right foot just to make sure nothing was blocked. My groin was still a bit sore a few days after the surgery, but that’s to be expected. When I start stretching out again, I will take it slowly and mindfully.
