Fiamm makes a cool little horn that directly replaces the stock unit. It is the same overall size and shape as the stocker, but louder. Installation is straightforward.

First you have to get the old horn out. Here's the bolt you have to loosen. It's a bit tricky to get to. 
Then you have to undo the electrical connections. They're two simple spade plugs. 
Strip 1/4" of insulation off the wires and crimp on the male spade plugs supplied with the kit. Clip the connector to the horn and the BMW's horn wires to the spade plugs. Then bolt it back into place.
