Opening Ceremonies
SF Earthquakes and friends outside the stadium, waiting to march in. We're lined up outside the stadium.

On the ramp inside the stadium. Team San Francisco was the first city to march into the stadium.

Ovewview of half the stadium. We were followed by about 14,000 other athletes. Here you can see one half of the soccer stadium. The red thing on the left is a raised podium that ran the length of the field down the middle of the stadium. On the other side was another runway for more athletes. It took about two hours for everyone to march in.


Ice Hockey
Interior of Jaap Edenhall, with Earthquakes playing Team Seattle. We played in Jaap Edenhall, an ice arena southeast of central Amsterdam.

Boston Pride hockey team lined up for team photo. Boston had a strong team. They took Gold in the Recreational division.

The Toronto goalie with his Heaton pads and gold medal. Toronto's goalie was pretty cool. He has leg pads just like mine.

After the Games
Socks & goalie jock hanging from a chair in my hotel room. I set up my gear to dry out.

Dan's typing at the terminal while teammates look on. Using the terminal in the hotel lobby, Dan connected to his web site.

Team SF Earthquakes and friends at the Shiller Hotel in Amsterdam. After our first win at a tournament, we had a victory dinner atthe Schiller Hotel.
