When
you crash into the boards, the goalie, the net, or another player, you will
be glad you got shoulder pads that fit well. Plastic on the outisde and
foam rubber on the inside, they will protect you from typical hockey impacts.
SizingSize are youth and men's small, medium, and large. Judge this by the size of shirt you wear. Shoulder caps should cover the end of your shoulders. The pads should fit snug but not tight through the chest. The bottom edge of the pads should meet with the top of the hockey pants. The arms of the shoulder pads should just overlap the top edge of the elbow pads.Defenders tend to wear heavier pads than wings and centers. A defender's shoulder pads generally cover more of the abdomen. |
