Your jersey covers your shoulder pads and identifies which team you're on. On the back is your name and your player number, which referees use to credit you with goals and assists.

Sizing

Make sure your jersey fits somewhat loosely over your shoulder pads; you'll probably want to size up by two or three sizes from the shirt size you normally wear.
