One summer I played in a league with four teams. I was the goalie for the best team in the division. I was the only member of my team who showed up for league practice times; the rest of the team was happy with its performance, so they never showed up. One of the othe rthree teams always came to practice, and they got better all the time. Toward the end of the season, they were harder and harder to beat.
